In early 2013 Appellation Central Wine Tours helped initiate a new project to start eradicating pests in the Wye Creek valley near Queenstown. This unique valley system is relatively untouched and unspoilt having never been farmed or had the land cleared. It runs from lake level to high in the alpine environment with a broad range of native flora and fauna.
